Patrice Baumel: Balance Series mix + Correspondant EP debut

A long time dream came true for Patrice Baumel, as he made his first official mix cd for the esteemed Balance Series

The long-running label launched the Balance Presents series back in 2013 as a way to showcase younger, more up-and-coming artists alongside their main franchise, which usually focuses on tried-and-true veterans.

“I want the listener to totally forget about the nuts and bolts and just feel it,” Bäumel says. “It was also really important to me to create something that is built to last, without any regard whatsoever for current trends. It’s not all easy listening; some parts really have teeth. So by nature, the mix is not—and was never meant to be—for people with a low tolerance for music and sound that is outspoken.” Check out the full article at Resident Advisor.
